Garden Club Collecting Baskets for Cancer Patients (Charity)

The Winnsboro Garden Club is collecting baskets to raise money for cancer patients. Baskets can be dropped off at 3855 Overbrook Dr., Columbia, SC, 29205 daily from 3:30-8:00 p.m., Sept. 2 -7, 2009. The baskets will be decorated and sold to raise $1775 in start-up legal fees for the Legal Assistance Cancer Coalition for Workplace Discrimination (LACCWD). LACCWD is a soon-to-be announced local non-profit organization which will offer financial aid to cancer patients who are experiencing illness-related employment discrimination.
